Where did it begin?

How did DPR Images begin? Well in early 2015 I was medically retired as a police officer due to heart failure, having done that job for 23 years. I went from working in high adrenaline posts & being very physically fit, to everything completely changing. It’s fair to say I had to make some major lifestyle adjustments. So this gave me a lot of time to think about what I could now do, considering my limitations.

I’d been interested in photography for some years, but only as an occasional hobby. When I initially retired I bought myself a new camera & thats when I began taking an interest in Architectural & Interior Photography. So I invested time, money & a lot of effort trying to learn & understand this particular type of photography. From that point, up to present, I’ve photographed many different types of residential & commercial properties. It’s a complete contrast to my previous job, a much slower pace, but if the truth be told I wish I’d discovered this passion a lot sooner.

Apart from my Wife & Children, there is nothing I love more than capturing the inside & out of interesting buildings. Finding angles that highlight pieces of Architectural design, through to showcasing creative interiors. Then waiting to see the clients reaction!
